This model demonstrates a general approach for creating tactile puzzles based on images. The concept was developed in response to feedback from educators working with blind and visually impaired learners, who indicated a lack of simple tactile puzzles and shape-matching activities suitable for education.
As a first implementation of this idea, we are making this model freely available for testing, educational use, and further development. The puzzle is designed to support tactile perception, spatial reasoning, and shape recognition through hands-on exploration.
Printing recommendations: The model can be printed using a standard 0.4 mm nozzle with PLA filament. For the best tactile quality and detail, a layer height of 0.15 mm or lower is recommended.
